About Maggie Hope Braun

Maggie Hope Braun is a Canadian civic advocate and founder of the KICLEI Canada Initiative. She is dedicated to educating communities and local councils on the voluntary nature of UN directive programs, with a particular focus on the ICLEI (International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives) and the PCP (Partners for Climate Protection) program. Her advocacy involves encouraging municipalities to withdraw from these global programs in favor of locally driven environmental solutions.

She is strategic in her approach, often creating reports, scripts, and meeting structures to ensure effective communication and minimal divisive language. Additionally, she manages Gather2030, a newsletter and platform focused on grassroots community education and engagement.
